The Three Kings
It is a long tradition in our country, on January 6 to celebrate the "The Three Kings Day", recalling the Gospel episode in which those kings from the East came to worship and give gifts to Jesus "King of the Jews" following the manifestation of a big star. (Cf. Mt 2: 1-12) This feast is a tradition rich in symbolism. In reality, we celebrate the manifestation of the Lord unto the entire world, the Epiphany. God is revealed, not only to the pastors, not only to Jews, even those men of science, rich and powerful, set off from distant lands in search of the star which they interpreted as a manifestation of the presence of God means that the Son of God must be recognized by all men, everywhere, of all time.
Happy Three Kings Day!
