Dear Friends,
Memorial Day commemorates the men and women who sacrificed so much so the rest of us could enjoy the blessings of our God-given rights. Every one of them deserves our prayers and thanks today.
As I offer my prayers of gratitude and pray for the safety of our men and women in uniform, I will also say a prayer for those we at National Right to Life defend: the innocent unborn and those threatened by euthanasia or infanticide.
I will keep a place in my memory for the millions of unborn who have died because of twisted ideology and the financial greed of abortionists.
Today is for the soldiers and sailors and airmen – please give them your heartfelt thanks. Tomorrow we go back to work with all our efforts. We go back to work to save the little baby who would feel excruciating pain if he is aborted. The grandmother nobody cares about. The disabled person who is fighting for life.
Each of these vulnerable persons has God-given rights that we are bound to defend. Like the soldiers who stand for our rights, we will stand for the Right to Life of every vulnerable American. Please help us in this struggle with your prayers and your financial support. May you and your loved ones have a most blessed Memorial Day.

Abortion continues... for how long???
Governor Says Yes to Babies' Pain

I am sickened by what happened yesterday, and every decent American should be, too.
Years of hard work by pro-lifers has slowly nudged the Supreme Court to allow more and more laws that protect unborn children. Our analysis is that the Supreme Court will now allow us to pass laws to save unborn babies who are old enough to feel pain. No baby should be aborted, but since the Supreme Court won’t allow us to protect all babies yet, we must protect the ones we can.
With National Right to Life’s expert help, some states have passed laws banning abortion after 20 weeks – the time by which scientists know an unborn baby can feel pain. Other states are working on such laws.
The moral duty to these little babies is so obvious that these laws are passing in legislatures by wide margins. But yesterday, for the first time, we had a governor say no. Gov. Mark Dayton of Minnesota vetoed the bill that would have saved these babies’ lives and prevented their most horrible, painful deaths.
The governor’s act was barbaric, and will allow a brutality to continue that should never happen in a civilized society. But it teaches us that passing even this most modest of abortion restrictions will never be accepted by the pro-abortion lobby and those politicians who are their lap dogs. To protect babies’ lives, we will have to re-double our efforts to fight them every step of the way.
We – and the babies who will suffer from this – desperately need your help. We need to publicize the facts about the pain of abortion to every American. We need to lobby even harder to pass our Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act in every state in the country.
No unborn baby should ever die by choice. No baby should suffer in this brutal way. Please help National Right to Life educate and pass laws to stop this tragedy with your most generous donation today.

Rome’s exorcist finding Bl. John Paul II effective against Satan

Rome, Italy, May 17, 2011 / 03:27 pm (CNA/EWTN News).- The chief exorcist of Rome is seeing a rising number of young people coming under the influence of evil, but he has found in recent years that Blessed John Paul II is a powerful intercessor in the battle for souls.
A small, unassuming office in south-west Rome seems a rather ordinary setting in which to play out a grand battle between good and evil. It is here, though, that Father Gabriele Amorth has carried out most of his 70,000 exorcisms over the past 26 years.
“The world must know that Satan exists,” he told CNA recently. “The devil and demons are many and they have two powers, the ordinary and the extraordinary.”
The 86-year-old Italian priest of the Society of St. Paul and official exorcist for the Diocese of Rome explained the difference.
“The so-called ordinary power is that of tempting man to distance himself from God and take him to Hell. This action is exercised against all men and women of all places and religions.”
As for the extraordinary powers used by Satan, Fr. Amorth explained it as how the Devil acts when he focuses his attention more specifically on a person. He categorized the expression of that attention into four types: diabolical possession; diabolical vexation like in the case of Padre Pio, who was beaten by the Devil; obsessions which are able to lead a person to desperation and infestation, and when the Devil occupies a space, an animal or even an object.”
Fr. Amorth says such extraordinary occurrences are rare but on the rise. He's particularly worried by the number of young people being affected by Satan through sects, séances and drugs. He never despairs though.
“With Jesus Christ and Mary, God has promised us that he will never allow temptations greater than our strengths.”
Hence he gives a very matter-of-fact guide that everybody can use in the fight against Satan.
“The temptations of the Devil are defeated first of all by avoiding occasions (of temptation), because the Devil always seeks out our weakest points. And, then, with prayer. We Christians have an advantage because we have the Word of Jesus, we have the sacraments, prayer to God.”
Not surprisingly, ‘Jesus Christ’ is the name Fr. Amorth most often calls upon to expel demons. But he also turns to saintly men and women for their heavenly assistance. Interestingly, he said that in recent years one man – Blessed Pope John Paul II – has proved to be a particularly powerful intercessor.
“I have asked the demon more than once, ‘Why are you so scared of John Paul II and I have had two different responses, both interesting. One, ‘because he disrupted my plans.’ And, I think that he is referring to the fall of communism in Russia and Eastern Europe. The collapse of communism.”
“Another response that he gave me, ‘because he pulled so many young people from my hands.’ There are so many young people who, thanks to John Paul II, were converted. Perhaps some were already Christian but not practicing, but then with John Paul II they came back to the practice. ‘He pulled so many young people out of my hands.’”
And the most powerful intercessor of all?
“Of course, the Madonna is even more effective. Ah, when you invoke Mary!”
“And, once I also asked Satan, ‘but why are you more scared when I invoke Our Lady than when I invoke Jesus Christ?’ He answered me, ‘Because I am more humiliated to be defeated by a human creature than being defeated by him.”
The intercession of the living is also important, though, says Fr. Amorth. He reminds people that exorcism is a prayer and, as such, Christians can pray to liberate a soul or place from the Devil. However, three things are needed.
“The Lord gave them (the Apostles) an answer that also for us exorcists is very important. He said that overcoming this type of demon, you need much faith, much prayer and much fasting. Faith, prayer and fasting.”
“Especially faith, you need so much faith. Many times also in the healings, Jesus does not say in the Gospel it is me who has healed you. He says, you are healed thanks to your faith. He wants faith in the people, a strong and absolute faith. Without faith you can do nothing.”

I say to the parents: give good examples to your children, for not to mourn in the near future.
Children, you cannot expect your children to live a good life if your example to them is measly. You cannot expect your children to show kindness if your behavior, shows them violence. You cannot expect your children to have a heart at peace if they see that you are nourished on hatred.
Pray, pray, as a family while there is time.

Dear child, be patient, kind and loving to treat others.
My children, keep your hearts open to the grace of My Jesus.

An Important Reminder
Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ, remember and remind all your family, friends and relatives that the Holy Eucharist cannot be received at the hands. For this, there are our priests with consecrated hands, they are the only ones who can touch the Holy Body of Our Lord Jesus.
At Mass this morning, I saw most of the parishioners receiving the Body of Christ in their hands. I felt great nauseas and hardly want to look at my brothers in Christ receiving the Sacred Host, many sisters wearing little clothing and ... I just had a sickening feeling in my body. I knew that Jesus was giving me a taste of how He feels when we receive the Holy Body of our Saviour in conditions that are unacceptable to Him.
Please, brothers and sisters, let us help each other to return to those beautiful customs and traditions that our ancestors left us on our beautiful Catholic faith. To the church we go dressed as God commands, when the Communion, receive the Body of Christ as He deserves, from the hands of the priest and with God's grace always that we only get through confession.
Amen brothers and sisters, I send a spiritual hug to every one of you and your family.

Many false places (shrines) are emerging to fool My poor children.
Your time children, looks like a great desert, where many of you are just behind messages and signals.

Since 1993, Satan entered in many places of apparitions, sowing discord and envy. Many messengers were seduced by profit and power.

In 1993 and 1995, I asked for prayers for Muriaé. I noticed that the devil was trying to destroy My plans in that place, and no one listened to Me.
Now it only remains to pray and repair. The star no longer shines more in Muriaé.
Judas sold Jesus for 30 pieces. Many of My messengers, sell Me for money and lust.
Beloved, Why so much indifference?

Today I am here to give the following message:
If you pray and convert the Father will reward you with great joy. I ask you to continue coming here. Beloved, pray a lot for Brazil.
I want to transform Brazil into a beautiful garden. I am the Mother of Love!
Beloved, leave Me to guide you to My Son Jesus.
On this day remember with Me the first apparition to this child in Itajaí-SC.
Many blessings and signs were given to you over 23 years. I'm glad to see you obedient to My appeals. Beloved, pray the rosary every day and the third of tears. Consecrate every day to this Mother, with love by the consecration act I taught on August 21, 1996, through this servant. Give good testimonies. Pray for the clergy of Brazil.
Pray that the seeds that you have been growing over the days, can give good results. Sow the peace. You may be bearers of this peace that My Divine Son Jesus comes to give. Pray for those priests among you, that they find peace with God. The bad testimony led many to purgatory. Now pray for them!

Continue steadfast in walking. Pray My beloved. In strengthening your faith is that you will find the Divine Wisdom. Do not be weak to avoid falling into the traps of the devil.
Beloved, humanity is suffering from commotion as a consequence of scientists. Do not sin, do not swear in vain, and do not defame.
My children, salvation is of your choice. Be obedient to the appeals of My Holy Mother. Be worthy of Her graces. Believe in Her!

I ask you dear children, to listen and live these messages. My children, continue to pray without measuring efforts. I ask you to pray for Pope Benedict the XVI.
Pray also for My favorite sons the priests so that they can do more and live in holiness with their communities. The evil is around them and trying to denigrate the Church of My Son Jesus sowing discord and slander.
Favorite sons (priests) help this Mother to save souls for God. Give good testimonies.
