Some people are seeing a flying cross, or perhaps a Star of David.
While scientists don't think it's a comet, they're not exactly sure of the precise origin of the incredible object soaring some 90 million miles from Earth [the sun is 93 millions miles from Earth], snapped just a few weeks ago by the Hubble Space Telescope.
"I've seen thousands of astronomical images over my career, but this is one of the few absolute jaw-droppers: A flying X-pattern with trailing streamers," said Ray Villard, a contributing writer to Discovery News. "Whatever it is, nothing quite like it has ever before been seen in the heavens."
Even the experts who study celestial phenomena seem somewhat perplexed.
"We're still trying to really figure out what it is," University of Arizona planetary scientist Jim Scotti told National Geographic. Scotti is on a team observing the object from the Kitt Peak National Observatory outside Tucson.
"The truth is, we're still struggling to understand what this means," comet expert David Jewitt at UCLA told Britain's Daily Mail. "It's most likely the result of a recent collision between two asteroids."
If it is indeed the result of such a collision, it would be the first time astronomers have gazed upon the immediate result of such a crash.
The official statement from America's space agency indicates:
NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has observed a mysterious X-shaped debris pattern and trailing streamers of dust that suggest a head-on collision between two asteroids. Astronomers have long thought the asteroid belt is being ground down through collisions, but such a smashup has never been seen before.
Asteroid collisions are energetic, with an average impact speed of more than 11,000 miles per hour, or five times faster than a rifle bullet.
"If this interpretation is correct, two small and previously unknown ast! eroids recently collided, creating a shower of debris that is being swept back into a tail from the collision site by the pressure of sunlight," Jewitt said.
WORDS OF JESUS TO SR. FAUSTINA.... comet shaped like a cross
Saint Faustina Kowalska was a Polish nun who received a series of astounding revelations from Jesus! These messages are among the most important revelations ever given to the world! Jesus told Saint Faustina that the final age of the world was approaching. The message he was now giving to the world through her was specifically intended to prepare mankind for the end of the world. "Before I come as a just judge, I am coming FIRST as "King of Mercy"! Let all men now approach the throne of my mercy with absolute confidence! Some time before the the last days of final justice arrive, there will be given to mankind a great sign in the heavens of this sort: all the light of the heavens will be totally extinguished. There will be a great darkness over the whole earth. Then a great sign of the cross will appear in the sky. From the openings from where the hands and feet of the savior were nailed will come forth great lights - which will light up the earth for a period of time. This will happen before the very final days. It is the sign for the end of the world. After it will come the days of justice! Let souls have recourse to the fount of my mercy while there is still time! Woe to him who does not recognize the time of my visitation."
Fr. Iannuzzi , when commenting on Fr. Gobbi's death, reviewed his prediction that stated
a comet shaped like a cross would appear soon.

The Heart of My Divine Son, still scarred by the hands of My children. This brings Me much sadness!
It is necessary to repair all these offenses as there is time.
My children, many of you are still falling into the traps of the devil. The way he offers leads you to the darkness. Do not be deceived by the cunning of Satan.
I am your Mother and I cannot be happy to see many of you walking down wrong paths.
Again I ask you to abandon everything and all sorts of superstitions. Beware of false seers who say that are seeing Me and to My Divine Son.
Ask the Holy Spirit the gift of discernment.
Open your hearts to the love of Jesus and Mine.
I love you.
I bless you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Electronic Skin Tattoo has Medical, Gaming, Spy Uses
The micro-electronics technology, called an epidermal electronic system (EES), was developed by an international team of researchers from the United States, China and Singapore, and is described in the journal Science.
"It's a technology that blurs the distinction between electronics and biology," said co-author John Rogers, a professor in materials science and engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
"Our goal was to develop an electronic technology that could integrate with the skin in a way that is mechanically and physiologically invisible to the user."
The patch could be used instead of bulky electrodes to monitor brain, heart and muscle tissue activity and when placed on the throat it allowed users to operate a voice-activated video game with better than 90 percent accuracy.
"This type of device might provide utility for those who suffer from certain diseases of the larynx," said Rogers. "It could also form the basis of a sub-vocal communication capability, suitable for covert or other uses."
The wireless device is nearly weightless and requires so little power it can fuel itself with miniature solar collectors or by picking up stray or transmitted electromagnetic radiation, the study said.
Less than 50-microns thick -- slightly thinner than a human hair -- the devices are able to adhere to the skin without glue or sticky material.
"Forces called van der Waals interactions dominate the adhesion at the molecular level, so the electronic tattoos adhere to the skin without any glues and stay in place for hours," said the study.
Northwestern University engineer Yonggang Huang said the patch was "as soft as the human skin."
Rogers and Huang have been working together on the technology for the past six years. They have already designed flexible electronics for hemispherical camera sensors and are now focused on adding battery power and other energy options.
The devices might find future uses in patients with sleep apnea, babies who need neonatal care and for making electronic bandages to help skin heal from wounds and burns.

Dear Friends in Christ,
We are facing a SERIOUS issue. The Federal Government is attempting to MANDATE that all insurance pays for—WITH NO CO-PAY—early chemical abortions, sterilizations, contraception, and “reproductive counseling” for all women as “preventative care.” This means that every person with medical insurance will be forced to pay for 100% of these morally reprehensive actions. This new attack on our faith and human rights is almost beyond belief! To reiterate what Cardinal DiNardo said concerning this new push by the administration: “Pregnancy is not a disease, and children are not a ‘health problem’...”
HHS is holding a 60-day public comment period. Please take immediate action by going to the National Committee for a Human Life Amendment: http://nchla.org/actiondisplay.asp?ID=292 .
I will send you more information and alerts as I receive them from the USCCB. If needed, I will call an emergency meeting, as I did with the FOCA Campaign, so be prepared... This attack on people of faith is very serious, and the Church is approaching it as such. If you are interested in reading further on this issue, and the Church’s response, please read the more lengthy explanation below.
As always, please continue to pray fervently for an END to this culture of death! Thank you for all you do in the service of the most vulnerable and innocent. God bless you all.

Re: “Preventive Services for Women" and Mandated Contraceptive/Sterilization Coverage
You have no doubt heard of the new federal mandate for coverage of contraception and sterilization in almost all health plans in the United States. This poses an unprecedented threat to the religious freedom of Catholic individuals and institutions. This memorandum answers questions about this issue and our response to it thus far, and looks forward to next steps.
How did this coverage mandate arise?
During Senate debate on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) in 2010, Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) offered a floor amendment delegating to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services the responsibility to develop a list of "preventive services" (and a distinct list of "preventive services for women") to be covered in private health plans without cost sharing. The amendment became part of the law, despite pro-life concerns about its scope. Inclusion of this mandate without any provision for conscience rights was among the reasons the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops criticized the final law.
How did HHS exercise its authority under the new law?
HHS released an interim final rule in September 2010 listing the general "preventive services" to be covered for everyone, and announced that it would solicit recommendations from the Institute of Medicine (part of the National Academy of Sciences) on special preventive services for women.
How did USCCB respond?
USCCB did not object to the general list of preventive services, which did not include contraceptives or sterilization, but filed comments against including contraception or sterilization in the distinct list of mandated services for women. This was primarily in response to a Planned Parenthood campaign urging their inclusion: www.usccb.org/ogc/preventive.pdf. USCCB staff testified on this issue at IOM hearings and helped others, including pro-life medical experts, to do likewise. See www.usccb.org/comm/archives/2010/10-213.shtml. In addition, USCCB supported Rep. Jeff Fortenberry and others in introducing a bill entitled "Respect for Rights of Conscience Act" (H.R. 1179), designed to address the absence of conscience protection in PPACA. (The bill has also now been introduced in the Senate, as S. 1467.)
What happened in July and August 2011?
On July 19, the Institute of Medicine issued recommendations essentially giving Planned Parenthood everything it wanted (it turned out that at least five of the 16 members of the drafting committee had served on the boards of directors of PP affiliates). Less than two weeks later, HHS's Health Resources and Services Administration issued guidelines listing preventive services for women, incorporating the IOM recommendations in their entirety. HHS issued a final interim rule that referenced this list, and also allowed (but did not require) HRSA to implement a very narrow and inadequate religious exemption. Cardinal Daniel DiNardo, Chairman of the USCCB Committee on Pro-Life Activities, criticized the IOM report (July 19); renewed the Bishops' call for Congress to enact the Respect for Rights of Conscience Act (July 22); criticized the inclusion of contraceptives and sterilization in HRSA's list of preventive services, and further criticized the woefully inadequate "religious exemption" (August 1) set out in the HHS regulation. Our materials issued during this period are attached. USCCB staff have also written op-eds, blogs and letters to the editor on this topic, and invited others to do the same (see links at the end of this memo).
What must be covered in private health plans under the title of "preventive services for women"?
Required services are set out in August 1 guidelines from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA): www.hrsa.gov/womensguidelines/.
There are eight, including:
"All Food and Drug Administration approved contraceptive methods, sterilization procedures, and patient education and counseling for all women with reproductive capacity."
Another service is a "well-woman visit," at least annually, to promote preventive services including the above. The six remaining services involve counseling and/or screening for sexually transmitted diseases (specifically including human papillomavirus and HIV), gestational diabetes, and domestic violence, as well as provision of breast feeding support. These latter services pose no moral problem and should be welcome to many women. But the inclusion of contraception and sterilization alongside them underscores the problem: Pregnancy is being treated as a disease or health threat to be "prevented," like diabetes, a sexually transmitted disease or violent injury. (It is worth noting that the list does not include any services to assist women with a fertility problem in becoming pregnant -- fertility, not infertility, is seen as a threat to women's well-being.)
Is there precedent for such a broad mandate for contraception and sterilization coverage?
No. Until now, no federal law required private health plans to cover these items. Even state contraceptive mandates (enacted in approximately half the states), with rare exception, do not require sterilization coverage, and do not apply to all health plans. As a general rule, state mandates apply to insured plans that provide prescription drug coverage.
Does the mandate include some abortifacient drugs?
A "fact sheet" issued by HRSA says it does not: "These recommendations do not include abortifacient drugs" (www.healthcare.gov/news/factsheets/womensprevention08012011a.html). That misleading answer is based on two factors. First, the federal government does not officially recognize the destruction of a human embryo before implantation as an "abortion," although it is recognized as such in Catholic teaching and the understanding of many pro-life Americans. So FDA-approved "emergency contraception" (EC) drugs covered by this mandate are described by HHS solely as "contraceptives," even if the drug's manufacturer says it can work by interfering with implantation. Second, the FDA has never acknowledged that the drug it most recently approved for EC, "Ella" (ulipristal acetate), is a close analogue to the abortion drug RU-486 and has been shown in animal tests to cause abortion -- yet the drug is "contraindicated" for use in women who are or may be pregnant for this reason. So the answer is yes, the mandate includes drugs that may cause an abortion both before and after implantation.
When does the mandate take effect?
It took legal effect on August 1, but health plans have some time to comply: "Non-grandfathered plans and issuers are required to provide coverage without cost sharing consistent with these guidelines in the first plan year (in the individual market, policy year) that begins on or after August 1, 2012." For example, calendar year plans must comply with the mandate by January 1, 2013. Grandfathered plans, those in existence at the time of enactment of PPACA, are not subject to the preventive care services mandate. However, should these plans make certain changes regarding covered services or employee costs, they will lose their grandfathered status and will be forced to comply with the mandate. It is anticipated that most plans will lose grandfathered status within the next few years.
Isn't there a religious exemption?
Yes, the interim final rule, which references HRSA's list of "preventive services" and gives it legal force, also allows HRSA to adopt an extremely narrow religious exemption. (The rule is printed in the Federal Register, www.gpo.gov/fdsys/search/pagedetails.action?granuleId=2011-19684&packageId=FR-2011-08-03&acCode=FR.) See 76 Fed. Register 46621-6 (August 3, 2011).
What are the legal requirements for a religious exemption?
The exemption is only for a "religious employer," defined as "one that (1) Has the inculcation of religious values as its purpose; (2) primarily employs persons who share its religious tenets; (3) primarily serves persons who share its religious tenets; and (4) is a non-profit organization under section 6033(a)(1) and section 6033(a)(3)(A)(i) or (iii) of the [Internal Revenue] Code." HHS notes that these provisions of the Code refer to "churches, their integrated auxiliaries, and conventions or associations of churches, as well as to the exclusively religious activities of any religious order." This exemption is similar to the narrow exemptions enacted as part of state contraceptive mandates in California and New York.
Which Catholic individuals and organizations are ineligible for an exemption?
Plans offered by a great many Church-affiliated organizations, including Catholic colleges and universities, as well as hospitals and charitable institutions that serve the general public, would be ineligible under the terms of this exemption. To offer a plan to their own employees, these institutions would need, for example, to have as their purpose the inculcation of religious values, and primarily hire employees and serve persons who share the organization's religious tenets. The alternative would be to cease providing employee healthcare coverage altogether. No individual may claim an exemption, whether as employer, head of a health insurance company, or purchaser of coverage for self or family.
What is the precedent for this strangely narrow definition of religion?
There is no precedent in federal law, which has long protected rights of conscience more generously. Since 1973 the Church amendment has prevented government officials from requiring health care providers to take part in sterilizations as a condition for receiving federal funds if they have a moral or religious objection. The Federal Employees Health Benefits Program allows a health plan to exempt itself from the program's contraceptive mandate on the basis of "religious beliefs," and protects the consciences of individual health care workers in other participating plans if they object on moral or religious grounds. The major legislation for combating AIDS in Third World nations has a clause to prevent discrimination against Catholic and other groups that have a moral or religious objection to particular AIDS prevention strategies or other services. And appropriations bills for the District of Columbia have long expressed the sense of Congress that any contraceptive mandate in DC needs a conscience clause protecting those with moral or religious objections. HHS's proposal is modeled closely on the grudging exemption that pro-abortion groups and the ACLU have long proposed in Congress for pro-life health care providers -- an approach that Congress has never accepted.HHS says its language is very similar to religious exemptions in many state contraceptive mandates, but this is incorrect. Most states with an exemption from such a mandate provide broader conscience protection than HHS has authorized in its final interim rule. In addition, HHS's reliance on state law ignores several things: (1) as noted above, the state laws themselves are not as sweeping as HHS's mandate; (2) almost half the states impose no contraceptive mandate at all, so they "exempt" everyone; (3) some states which do have a mandate exclude some drugs like "emergency" contraception. Thus even in the states, the scope of this mandate is largely unprecedented.
What can be done?
1. Concerned Catholics and others should call and write their elected representatives in Congress, urging them to support the Respect for Rights of Conscience Act (H.R. 1179, S. 1467). See www.nchla.org for latest alerts.
2. HHS is holding a 60-day public comment period. Talking points for comment letters and help in submitting those comments are forthcoming soon. Again, check www.nchla.org.
3. Take part in the public debate! Op-eds, letters to the editors, blogs, FaceBook, Twitter -- there are so many ways to get our message out today. See below for some pieces already published:

Very interesting prophecy...
http://www.offgridworship.com/2010/10/1968-prophecy-90-year-old-norwegian.html
1968 Prophecy by a 90 Year Old Norwegian Woman
This prophecy was given by a 90 yr. old woman in Norway 42 years ago about events leading up to the second coming of Christ. An Evangelist by the name of Emanuel Minos wrote this prophecy down in 1968 and thought it was so extreme that he put it away. He recently reviewed the prophecy and was amazed that it is not "extreme" anymore--but the norm in our society. Read the prophecy below.
An old woman of 90 from Valdres in Norway had a vision from God in 1968. The evangelist Emanuel Minos had meetings (services) where she lived. He had the opportunity to meet her, and she told him what she had seen. He wrote it down, but thought it to be so unintelligible that he put it in a drawer. Now, almost 30 years later, he understands he has to share the vision with others.
The woman from Valdres was a very alert, reliable, awake and credible Christian, with a good reputation among all who knew her. This is what she saw:
"I saw the time just before the coming of Jesus and the outbreak of the Third World War. I saw the events with my natural eyes. I saw the world like a kind of a globe and saw Europe, land by land. I saw Scandinavia. I saw Norway. I saw certain things that would take place just before the return of Jesus, and just before the last calamity happens, a calamity the likes of which we have never before experienced.
She mentioned four waves:
1. "First before Jesus comes and before the Third World War breaks out there will be a ‘détente’ like we have never had before. There will be peace between the super powers in the east and the west, and there will be a long peace. (Remember, that this was in 1968 when the cold war was at its highest. E. Minos) In this period of peace there will be disarmament in many countries, also in Norway and we are not prepared when it (the war) comes. The Third World War will begin in a way no one would have anticipated - and from an unexpected place.
2. "A lukewarmness without parallel will take hold of the Christians, a falling away from true, living Christianity. Christians will not be open for penetrating preaching. They will not, like in earlier times, want to hear of sin and grace, law and gospel, repentance and restoration. There will come a substitute instead: prosperity (happiness) Christianity.
"The important thing will be to have success, to be something; to have material things, things that God never promised us in this way. Churches and prayer houses will be emptier and emptier. Instead of the preaching we have been used to for generations -like, to take your cross up and follow Jesus, - entertainment, art and culture will invade the churches where there should have been gatherings for repentance and revival. This will increase markedly just before the return of Jesus.
3. "There will be a moral disintegration that old Norway has never experienced the likes of. People will live together like married without being married. (I do not believe the concept ‘co-habitor’? existed in 1968 - E. Minos.) Much uncleanness before marriage, and much infidelity in marriage will become the natural (the common), and it will be justified from every angle. It will even enter Christian circles and we pet it - even sin against nature. Just before Jesus return there will be TV- programs like we have never experienced. (TV had just arrived in Norway in 1968. E. Minos)
"TV will be filled with such horrible violence that it teaches people to murder and destroy each other, and it will be unsafe in our streets. People will copy what they see. There will not be only one ‘station’ on TV, it will be filled with ‘stations.’ (She did not know the word ‘channel’ which we use today. Therefore she called them stations. E. Minos.) TV will be just like the radio where we have many ‘stations,’ and it will be filled with violence. People will use it for entertainment. We will see terrible scenes of murder and destruction one of the other, and this will spread in society. Sex scenes will also be shown on the screen, the most intimate things that takes place in a marriage." (I protested and said, we have a paragraph that forbids this kind of thing. E. Minos.) There the old woman said: "It will happen, and you will see it. All we have had before will be broken down, and the most indecent things will pass before our eyes."
4. "People from poor countries will stream to Europe. (In 1968 there was no such thing as immigration. E. Minos.) They will also come to Scandinavia - and Norway. There will be so many of them that people will begin to dislike them and become hard with them. They will be treated like the Jews before the Second World War. Then the full measure of our sins will have been reached (I protested at the issue of immigration. I did not understand it at the time. E. Minos.)
The tears streamed from the old woman’s eyes down her cheeks. "I will not see it, but you will. Then suddenly, Jesus will come and the Third World War breaks out. It will be a short war." (She saw it in the vision.)
"All that I have seen of war before is only child’s play compared to this one, and it will be ended with a nuclear atom bomb. The air will be so polluted that one cannot draw one’s breath. It will cover several continents, America, Japan, Australia and the wealthy nations. The water will be ruined (contaminated?). We can no longer till the soil. The result will be that only a remnant will remain. The remnant in the wealthy countries will try to flee to the poor countries, but they will be as hard on us as we were on them.
"I am so glad that I will not see it, but when the time draws near, you must take courage and tell this. I have received it from God, and nothing of it goes against what the Bible tells.
"The one who has his sin forgiven and has Jesus as Savior and Lord, is safe."
WHEN THE OIL FLOWS
An elder in the Pentecostal Church at Moss, Norway, Martin Andersen, heard the following prophecy in 1937, in Moss:
‘When oil comes out of the North Sea and along the Norwegian coast, things will begin to happen, and the return of Jesus is approaching.’
When these words had been proclaimed, people stood up in the congregation and asked the man to sit down and not speak such nonsense. In 1937 it was indeed nonsense to talk about oil being pumped along the Norwegian coast. Today all the world’s big oil companies are pumping oil along the coast of Norway. Norway is the world’s second greatest exporter of oil - after Saudi Arabia.
The sum of it all is: Jesus is coming soon (suddenly).
